As Americans, we have to pay taxes in the USA no matter where we live in the world.
That being said, unlike Europeans or Australians who can set up an e-residency in Estonia as an example, we have to pay in the USA. But there are a ton of tax breaks and benefits as Americans if we stay out of the country for 11 months of the year.
Also, by moving from California to Texas a few years ago I now take advantage of 0% state income tax compared to 8%.
For Americans, watch this video from the Nomad Summit as tax accountant Grace Taylor breaks it all down perfectly.
For Non-Americans listen to episode 216 of the Travel Like a Boss Podcast about the E-Residency.
