I don't manage a full time team yet but I plan to do so in the future. At the moment, I frequently outsource certain parts of the job (copywriting, graphic design, etc.) to freelancers in order to concentrate on campaign strategy and sales funnel design among other things.
I made the move from freelancer to outsourcing tasks early on, because I realized that I was lacking skills in certain areas which other people are more capable of doing. For example, I suck at graphic design which is why I decided to outsource that part early on in my career.
In order to scale up, I think it is important to be able to delegate tasks and to trust others. In many ways, I trust the freelancers that I work with often much more than myself when it comes to specific areas of expertise.
In the future, I plan on creating my own training programs since many people frequently ask me about topics like client acquisitions, agency setup, profitable client niches, etc.
I believe that by trying to compose teaching materials to others, one learns a lot more about each specific subject matter as you will have to question yourself not only on why something works the way that it does, but also, what are the specific steps to reproduce the same results for other people.
