At the moment, the highest number of retreats happens in South-East Asia, which is understandable since the region is buzzing with digital nomads. I've seen a growing interest in Central and South America and the Caribbean and also in Europe and the US. I believe there's a big opportunity for lesser known destinations to establish a new type of tourism and to contribute to the local economy by attracting this crowd, who is usually more eco-conscious and are willing to live full-on local experiences, far away from the one-size-fits-all of the mass-tourism destinations.
