When making YouTube videos, do you think that gear matters or is it all about the story?

Answered by Jacob Laukaitis, marketer

99% of the work is the story, trust me. When it comes to my videos, for example, I'm an absolutely terrible videographer and editor - I'm just using a cheap pocket camera. Also, I don't have any fancy lenses, gimbals, or drones.

However, I focus 100% on telling stories and if people enjoy that, not much else will matter. Of course, better cinematography won't hurt, but we are wired to be attentive and interested in stories, not just nice views.
